Shop in Poland: Facilitating Entry into Sovereign Export Markets
"Shop in Poland" is a strategic financial solution provided by KUKE under the auspices of the newly established export support framework. The fundamental objective of this initiative is to assist Polish exporters in securing novel destination markets or, alternatively, expanding their commercial footprint within jurisdictions where they maintain an active operational presence. The programme enables domestic suppliers to participate in large-scale international investment projects, thereby facilitating the cultivation of robust commercial relations with foreign buyers of Polish commodities, technologies, and services.
Operational Mechanism of the "Shop in Poland" Initiative
Our institution operates in close cooperation with an extensive network of international banking corporations and foreign Export Credit Agencies (ECAs). We underwrite bank financing for global capital investments and infrastructural projects, concurrently acting as a catalyst and initiator of collaborative frameworks between Polish exporters and foreign general contractors or buyers within the scope of executed projects. Furthermore, KUKE actively participates in sovereign financing structures, insuring credit facilities extended to foreign ministries of finance for the execution of public works and infrastructure projects.
Utilising comprehensive intelligence regarding the precise technological and product-specific requirements of international buyers, we align these needs with the capabilities of qualified Polish exporters. Consequently, we enable both counterparties to initiate preliminary corporate introductions and commence bilateral trade negotiations.
The participating Polish enterprises and the foreign general contractor execute direct, bilateral contract negotiations. Neither the financing institutions nor KUKE participate in these specific commercial deliberations. Subsequentially, a structured financing package is engineered for the importer, backed by comprehensive KUKE credit insurance cover. Read more.
Supplementary Institutional Support via PAIH
Exporters may leverage supplementary operational support from the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). This institution extends invitations to selected exporters, presenting their commercial portfolios to foreign counterparties. Subsequentially, PAIH orchestrates formal bilateral conferences, conducted either through direct investor-readiness assemblies or targeted international trade missions.
