Financing of Foreign Direct Investments for Polish Enterprises
The investment credit facility provided by Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) constitutes a strategic financial instrument designed to support the execution of cross-border capital expenditures. Eligible initiatives include the acquisition of foreign corporate entities, the greenfield construction or expansion of international manufacturing facilities and the establishment of distribution networks outside the Republic of Poland.
A defining characteristic of this credit facility is the structural requirement that the debt obligations are secured, on a senior basis, by the foreign assets associated with the project or the international subsidiary. Subject to the specific architecture of the financing structure and a rigorous evaluation of the project's risk profile, the credit facility may be underwritten by the Export Credit Insurance Corporation (KUKE S.A.). The lending institution dynamically customises the structural framework of the financing for each transaction to align precisely with the individual specifications of the project or commercial contract.
